I ordered eight of these to make my own indoor flame-less tiki torches. Each one takes 4 AA batteries, which is fine (I expected this after having read the product description), but for all that battery power, the amount of light given off is rather dim. The fan works very well and the "flame" is realistic looking. However, the fan is VERY noisy.

This type torch (Electric Silk Faux-Flame Battery Operated Hand held Prop Torch Light)was exactly what I was looking for since real flames can't be used in church plays. I order 3 and two worked. The fan nor the bulb worked in one but the company kindly replaced the broken one promptly. I was impressed with their service.

I needed a set of torches for a high school play. These were the most reasonably priced and offered the best value. When I was told that they might be shipped later than I needed them, I contacted the company through Amazon and was assured that the torches would arrive in time. Happily, they came two days later. They made a great and safe moment in our production.

This very inexpensive prop does just what you want it to do - it produces a faux flame in a torch that looks great from the stage.
Not a work of art, not the greatest workmanship, but for the price you can't go wrong if you need a stage torch or decorations for a party.

It's never too early to be thinking of Halloween. I've used this torch as part of Halloween costumes over the years. The flame is made of a canvas-type material. Pop a battery in, turn the torch on, and the flame lights up and blows upward. From far away the flame looks pretty real.
I recommend this fake torch.
